CerealA lot of our shorts are inspired by music. This one is no exception. Inspired by the soundtrack to Batman Returns, this movie has nothing to do with Batman or returning, but it's still fun to watch. Directed by James Monegan. 1998

Raptor
Another one inspired by music and a large blow up toy. Shot by James by himself. No one else worked the camera or acted. 1998

The first was so great it spawned a sequel. This one has one of our biggest casts, over six people! Doesn't really connect at all with the first story, so on it's own, it's pretty good to watch. Directed by James Monegan and DJ Holloway. 1999

Welcome to the Unseen Hands MOVIES page.

What do you do when you terrorists take over your school with kickin' fresh dance moves? Why you fight back with hip-hop moves sweet enough to give you a tooth ache. Shot during a 30 hour fast with James' high school students, he wrote and directed this action packed dance fest. All these students were first time actors and first time dancers.

ELVIN CROSS
Two young men stumble upon a government plan to release a dangerous chemical to the public in order to the kill. The government retaliates by sending out their best under-aged assassin/agent to deal with the situation. Hilarity ensues . . . not really. Written on a whim by DJ, Elvin Cross is a thrill ride you're not gonna want to get off.

JET
LAGAnother one of those music inspired quickies, Jet Lag was shot in the summer of 1996. It tells the story of a pilot who likes to live at the most extreme. Even when that extreme entails driving a 1968 ford pickup over a box in the middle of his street. Set to the Apollo 13 soundtrack, this is a neat little short that hits with the music like Sugar Ray Leonard.

FANTASY
Fantasy, written and shot in 1994 was Unseen Hands first film greater than 3 minutes. It's got a cast of four and a kick ass sound track provided by a Sega CD video game. That's right, SEGA CD!!!! All analog (pre-digital era) the music was stopped when the camera stopped as mixing was not yet available to the group. This was also the first film where any real editing (VCR to VCR) was done, so it's sort of a milestone for UHP. *The audio might lag as the capture of this isn't the greatest.
